This is also the very first production unit of the Venom sporting chassis number 01. It was ordered by a Middle Eastern guy and that explains why  it’s the full-fat model!

The Venom GT is based on the Lotus Elise. It looks like the Elise and uses the same sort of chassis ans suspension as well. But it has longer length and track to cope with that volcano under the hood.

And this good-looking engine is where the umpf is coming from. It’s a LS9 GM V8 boosted with a couple turbochargers. You can have it with 720, 1000, or 1200 hp.

Super Car: Hennessey Venom GT 2011

Built on the Lotus Exige, the American coach Hennessey has announced its new jewel: the Venom GT 2011. Employs a 6.2-liter engine that comes from the Corvette ZR1, and that may be available with 725, 1000 or 1200 hp.
The Venom GT weighs a few 1071 Kg, improving the performance issue with this great power to weight ratio that makes speeding excessively, up to compare it to a bike. Venom GT is controlled by a six-speed manual gearbox connected to the rear wheels that has a traction control system designed to handle to handle so much power.
The Venom GT brakes are employed by Brembo carbon-ceramic composites, while the rear spoiler automatically adjusted according to speed and driving conditions and maintaining stability when driving at high speeds.
The Venom GT, which will be manufactured at Silverstone, England, have a limited production run of ten cars per year, and buyers will receive a short driving course to maneuver this machine with much power.
